And Now Shs is 6!!!

Hard to believe that 5 years ago I was so upset because I was missing Kaleigh's 1st birthday.  Now I look back and realize it wasn't as much of an issue as I thought it was because we celebrated so much more the very next day.  Today however, we have a 6 year old daughter who is so different from the baby we recieved.  She is still non stop energy and generally very easy going and happy but she definitely is her own person.  She likes what she likes and doesn't care who agrees, can have fun playing with everyone or no one.  We started celebrating earlier this week when gifts arrived from Grandma and Granny and then on Friday we took cupcakes to school for the ones who couldn't join us on Saturday.  When I picked her up from school that evening she told me I had to call her "birthday girl".  Is this the beginining of the tween attitude???  We started Saturday with her and Courtney crawling into bed with us and we wished her a happy birthday and she informed us she was now "6".  She has been so ready to be 6 for some reason.  Shortly after we gave her an extra special gift from us which she played with a lot today and then like a big girl she got dressed so we could go to her party.  She had a great time and got to play there and outside when we got home.  We are so proud of the amazing young lady she is growing into.  Of course more celebrations to come tomorrow when we have our "Forever Family Day".  Enjoy the pictures.
