Reunion 2014

Reunion time with our adoption group!!!  This has to be one our favorite times of the year.  These people have become like a second family to us and even if we don't talk often and usually only see each other once a year we pick up right where we left off and the kids get along better and better every year.  This group of pictures shows one leg of our trip when we were all playing musical cars which did break up the trip.  We traveled north this year and spent part of the week in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the second part of the week in Tracy Minnisota.  The rest of the pictures from this group are some taken from the train ride we took thru the Black Hills.  It was fun and interesting but as you can tell by the picture of Courtney the fun wore off before the end of the ride.

Happy 4th of July

Visit with Granny

We also took a trip to KY to see Granny this summer and the girls as usual had a blast there.

Gatlinburg and Tubing at the lake

Once again we had a very busy summer.  In June I decided to take the girls on a trip to Gatlinburg just the 3 of us for an overnight trip.  The girls tried miniture golf for the first time and we spent one eveing at an indoor water park (no pictures of this).  One of the other activities we did this summer is spending time at the lake.  The girls love to tube and and jumb off the boat (not ours) and swim in the lake.  The pictures in this group don't show Courtney in the water other than the tube because she thought it was a little too cool that day.

Awards Night

I was so proud of both of the girls for meeting all their goals in the kindergarten and be enjoyed their awards night.  I got a few pictures with the girls and some of their friends that night.  We missed  most of Courtney's class because a lot of them did not stay for the refreshments after.  The little boy with Kaleigh is her little "boyfriend" and the girl in the pink beside her on stage was her best friend last year.  Yes Kaleigh is a little on the short side but not that short, this child is just that tall.

Courtney Turns 6!!!

Courtney was very excited to turn 6 and we had a great time.  We had a small ice cream cake on her actual birthday and dinner at her favorite resturant and then a few days later we had her party.  We decided to rent a bonce house and slide and have the party at our house and it worked out great.  The biggest glitch was that she wanted a Frozen party and the only bounce house we could find was the little mermaid and she was fine with that since Ariel is her second favorite princess.

Zoo

Well today I decided to take the girls to the zoo and we had a great time.  They actually wanted to look at the animals and they didn't mind walking and while it was warm it was not hot or humid.  We were actually their for about 4 hours which is about all it takes to look at most of our zoo.  They are wanting to see some animals that we don't have at our smaller zoo here in Nashville so I am going to find a nicer one to go to this summer.  Not sure if we are leaning more toward Memphis or Cincinnati.
